In the Band
Tristan bangs out the bass lines and throws
down with the acoustic guitar from time to time. He sings lead on many songs and adds in harmony on the others. (He dances
around more on songs he doesn't sing!)
He writes the music and lyrics to many of the band’s well known acoustic
songs including Something Like Love, Sick and Tired, PseudoSmiles, wrote the lyrics to By Myself, and writes the music
on Matt's words including Burning, Succu...., Control My Heart. Tristan has a fun loving, fast style and always
goes for the punch line. Tristan sings many of the band's songs, along with Matt, providing low, high or middle range
harmony to almost any favorite cover. He is a very versatile musician, shown by his ability to play two instruments, sing,
and write his own tunes.
Tristan likes to play all kinds of music...even country when
people ask him to learn a song for them. He thrives in front of people and is never too shy to leap onto a
stage whether to play, sing, dance, or act. Oh yeah, and he's the front guy for Beryl Court :>
Out in the World
Tristan graduated from Oklahoma City University in 2009 with
a real degree Radio/TV Broadcast. He went there to play baseball as a pitcher on the nationally ranked
NAIA team and experienced two trips to the World Series. Tristan graduated from Lamar High School. He met Matt the
summer before entering HS through a Little League baseball team and since they shared baseball and choir classes,
they spent a lot of time together. Tristan dragged Matt into the theatre department where they performed in numerous shows
together.
Tristan's parents,
Michael and Shelly are settled in Arlington. As an only child, Tristan got all the best toys growing up.
In
his limited spare time, Tristan likes to cruise the internet, play games on the computer and PS3. He hates guys who sit in
one spot and snipe people in Call of Duty. He is spending his time learning to mix and master as the band lays down tracks
in the Club Baby Seals Recording Studio. Tristan loves wakeboarding and wants a cool boat some day so he can
get better at it. He is keeping his athletical side going playing softball and loves getting to play the field
again.
